or is there a better one than the one we’re using? They give a time then come “whenever”… and always LATE!
They would have to show up to see what is happening to remotely report anything.

For CNA, do they hire more in nursing homes, hospice or assisted living facilities?

Question by lolitagirl: For CNA, do they hire more in nursing homes, hospice or assisted living facilities?
I need to know which one of these places are more likely to hire a certified nursing assistant with no experience?

Best answer:

Nursing homes hire without experience all the time. I think ALFs do too but I don’t know if your chances are necessarily better there or not. I’m pretty sure you need experience for hospice.

Q&A: When grandparents are ready to enter in an assisted living place..Who is responsible for the payment, if they ?

Question by Interesting: When grandparents are ready to enter in an assisted living place..Who is responsible for the payment, if they ?
do not have any extra money? I feel the immediate family is, NOT THE GRANDCHILDREN…Just an honest answer. So and so is TRYING TO GET THE GRANDCHILDREN TO PAY..I feel that is wrong. Plus medi-care can help.

Actually, no Medicare cannot help. Assisted living is NOT covered by Medicare. The only thing that covers Assisted living is long term care insurance.

So this is a moral and ethical decision, not a legal one. Me personally – if it came to keeping my grandmother safe and happy in her golden years I would contribute.

I have one Grandparent left and she is 93 – I would pay anything to keep her happy.

What to do when your sister is living with a guy and they have only been together for 2mths?

Question by Hottie: What to do when your sister is living with a guy and they have only been together for 2mths?
My sister and I are both college students at different schools.Shes a freshman and Im a senior. She started seeing this guy about two months ago and already the two or living together in his dorm room. I have tried talking to her she tells me “I’m grown” and nothing seems to work. What should I do?

Best answer:

Answer by RLR
honestly, it all depends on how mature she is. as a person she may not be ready. but there are no age limits or set times of the right time to move in together. if it really bothers you, just be there for her if it falls apart. no “i told you so” just be supportive. just because you may know better doesn’t mean she shouldn’t learn from her own mistakes, if anything they’ll help her really grow up.

Question by CAROL B: where can I find the games they use in some nursing homes to entertain?
at a particular nursing home the activity director has some very nice ‘memory’ games – I was told they are from a company called Past Time…and the game is complete the pharase. I have searched but can’t seem to find them. If not that company any manufactor will work…I am looking for verbal games for a group that teach/reinforce memory skills

Believe it or not, Toys ‘r Us may carry something similar to what you’re looking for. I’ve bought memory games there to help my husband recover from a stroke. Stores that carries educational material for teachers often have this sort of product for children with special needs. Hope I was of help!
