What are basic senior citizen landlord rights when renting out a bedroom and the occupant refuses to leave?

Question by christine: What are basic senior citizen landlord rights when renting out a bedroom and the occupant refuses to leave?
Need Help! ASAP! Renter who is not paying will not leave; police wont get involved; Landlords are senior citizens who are private homeowners living on residence…How could this be resolved without court?

There is no way for it to be resolved w/o court. Call the cops he will be arrested and charged of the due amount of renting. Court will most likely be involved.

Q&A: Why? Senior Citizen should be left-out for a cost of living increased in- 2010!!?

Question by drjpetrone@sbcglobal.net: Why? Senior Citizen should be left-out for a cost of living increased in- 2010!!?
Personally, I will reach the stage of my old age for a Social Security benefits. Hard time to get there! I can’t lie to myself anymore! Yes, for, the first time after, a long denial I must affirm my old age- and-I’m left-out for a cost living increase in 2010?
The Government had bail-out Big America Bank with our tax-payer money viceversa the Government is not able to bail-out us (Senior ) the merit of cost living increase in 2010. What a fortunate man AM I!! The politician are blaming that – the time now are not good? Certainly, the money is not enough to make remarkable American Bank . Or, billion dollars in the war! I believe it is wrong if any decisions of no cost of living increases will take place in 2010. One things I do know what AM I as a person and not a thief. Its my hope that I will get my reward that I deserve the cost of living increase 2010. Its my hope that the AARP or other political lobbies in Washington will fight back the proposal. I want only survival>I believe that I do deserve my credit the rest this is the time of my life to be old!! I don’t get any bonus from any American Banks I do expect my reward for what i have work for my Government!!

Simply; it is tied to inflation and there was none in 2009. It isn’t the Democrats, a conspiracy or leftists…it’s US law.

Now, you will receive a one time payout

Q&A: I am senior citizen living in peel region. I want to get govt.accommodation. What should I do?

Question by kumarbrij41: I am senior citizen living in peel region. I want to get govt.accommodation. What should I do?

Best answer:

Answer by nitebearer
Well you have to call or visit region of peel offices in Brampton at Bramalea City Centre Dr and talk to the appropriate people and do an application for assisted senior housing. They will place you on the list and hopefully be able to help sooner rather than later but the list grows quite large at times due to the number of seniors in the area.
There are some co-op properties that also have a number of govt assistance units for rent and this is another option for you to look at. These are spread out through the region but there is not a lot of them but units do become available almost every year as people move.
Otherwise call or visit the offices and see if there are assistance programs for living in a normal apartment building if that’s possible (you do not need medical attention etc).

Best answer:

Answer by EmilyRose
As far as I know, there aren’t any rules prohibiting foreign funding of assisted living facilities in the US. However, don’t really know all that much about the business end of things. You might get better answers posting in the Business and Finance catagory, rather than the Health catagory, since your actual question is about the finanical aspect rather than the health care aspect of the business.
