I would check with your local authorities (city/county government) and ask what is required for you to operate such a business in that area. Probably just need a business license and a health department certificate (usually a one day course).

Your home has to be inspected and pass a health inspection to get a certificate, and I believe if your running a business from your home you may need a license and in some areas you must be in a commercial zoned area? check with your local county seat and they will have all the answers you need.
